The Tuthill Porsche historic racing squad is back in action this weekend, as we head for the HSCC International Trophy weekend at Silverstone for round two of the 2017 GT and Sports Car Cup (GTSCC).

Following a half-hour qualifying session on Saturday morning, Anthony Galliers-Pratt will compete in Sunday’s 90-minute GTSCC race using a Tuthill-prepared 1965 Porsche 911 race car. The pretty Aga Blue SWB proved entirely reliable on the opening round of the 2017 season at last month’s Donington Historic Festival, so here’s to safe speed at Silverstone.

About the GT and Sports Car Cup

The GTSCC is a race series for genuine Pre-’66 GTs and Pre-’63 sportscars of a type that were raced in the World Endurance Championship in period. It is an exciting and highly social series, with great camaraderie between the competitors.

Ice Driving prize for GTSCC Porsche champ

We greatly admire the GTSCC ethos and are always keen to support the series. For 2017, Tuthill Porsche has partnered with the team behind GTSCC to offer a day’s ice driving on our Below Zero Ice Driving facility in Sweden as a prize for the highest-placed Porsche driver in this year’s GTSCC championship.

The remaining calendar for the 2017 GTSCC series is below. Contact us to discuss an entry on either of the remaining events.

  • Autumn Classic at Castle Combe: Oct 7
  • Algarve Classic Festival at Portimao: Oct 27-29

The Tuthill Porsche driver development programme can take complete novices to competent racing drivers in a matter of months, so there is still time to build a car and train a driver to compete in both rounds!
