2.0L Cup expands for 2019

The 2.0L Cup expands to a six-race series for 2019, including new rounds in Spain and Italy. Competitors can look forward to weekends in Barcelona and Milan!

Following an exceptional inaugural season, the 2.0L Cup enjoys an expanded race programme in 2019. The one-make series for pre-1966 2-litre Porsche 911s will be seen at all six of Peter Auto’s historic racing weekenders, including:

  • Barcelona (Espíritu de Montjuic): April 5-7
  • Spa Classic: May 17-19
  • Dijon Grand Prix: June 7-9
  • Hungaroring Classic: July 12-14
  • Monza Historic: September 20-22
  • Paul Ricard Dix Mille: October 18-20

Packed grids and close racing were stamped as hallmarks of the 2.0L Cup series from very first round at the 2018 Spa Classic. We enjoyed the tight competition and had some wonderful racing experiences against fellow enthusiasts. Our 2-litre cars were developed right through the season, so will start 2019 in good form.

Barcelona and Monza are two destinations new to the 2.0L Cup for 2019. Barcelona’s Espíritu de Montjuic is held at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya in Montmeló: some 30 kms from the old Montjuic street circuit in the south of the city. Peter Auto held its first Espíritu weekend here in 2018 and we’re looking forward to being a part of the festival in April next year.

Monza will be another excellent weekend. Set in the woods to the north of Milan, the circuit is famous for long straights and fast laps, so engine power and optimum gearing will be essential. Take Barcelona and Monza, add the awesomeness of Spa, the adrenaline of Dijon and the unforgettable circuits of Budapest and Paul Ricard and all the ingredients for a thrilling second season of 2-litre racing are ready.

More details of next season’s calendar are available from Peter Auto or on the 2.0L Cup website. Contact us if you would like to discuss building a 911 or entering an existing car as part of our team.
