Below Zero kicks off 2015 Ice Driving Season

Tuthill ice driving camp has a host of new features for 2015

Our Below Zero Ice Driving experience has launched its 2015 season with a host of new features and a record number of bookings.

Eight classic Porsche rally cars prepared by Tuthill Porsche in the UK have been shipped to the frozen lake near Åre in Sweden, where Below Zero is based. Amongst the fleet are three rally-winning 911s, previously driven by rally legends including Björn Waldegård, Stig Blomqvist and Red Bull superstar, Travis Pastrana.

The Swedish base camp has been enhanced, with an incredible ten miles of ice tracks carved into the frozen lake surface. A brand new geodesic dome now houses lakeside hospitality, managed by the latest Below Zero team member, hostess Marine Gatto.

“Below Zero Ice Driving has gone from strength to strength since we relocated to Åre: Scandinavia’s premier winter sports resort,” says General Manager, Tim Scarff. “Bookings have poured in from all around the world and we are almost sold out for this season.

“Below Zero customers include racing professionals, amateurs keen to develop their skills and family members sharing the ultimate birthday gift. One driver from last year was inspired to compete in a real rally, using a Tuthill Porsche car.

“With a fleet of exciting Porsche 911s, rally champion instructors and a mission to deliver maximum seat time, we believe the Below Zero ice driving experience is the best that money can buy. We can’t wait to share the Below Zero adventure with a record number of drivers this year.”
