Early Porsche 911S restoration in factory Black

We’re in the final stages of the full restoration and rebuild of this beautiful early 911S, in its original factory colour.

We’re in the final stages of the full restoration and rebuild of this beautiful early 911S, in its original factory colour. Black is not a very common shade on SWB cars, but the rare colour is remarkably elegant when set against the chrome trim and complemented by original Fuchs alloy wheels.

This classic Porsche 911 had a great specification from new, including many sports options. We’re excited to have restored it from a bare shell to (mostly) original condition but with a few Tuthill tweaks for use as a really exceptional classic road car. The current job list is all about the interior, where we are retrimming the original dash panels in basketweave and refitting a mix of well preserved original trim parts and high quality new parts, straight from Porsche where available.

The market for good Early S 911s remains pretty healthy when provenance and history is correct and the cars are presented in the right condition. This makes it doubly important to have restoration work carried out by a well known name with a strong reputation amongst Porsche enthusiasts and collectors.

We are always happy to look at new restoration projects and give an outline on basic costs to repair. While it is never possible to specify costs down to the last hour before a job gets started, our experience allows us to understand where hidden problems may lie and advise on contingency to repair things that may or may not turn out to requite attention.

Tuthill Porsche can take an early or classic 911 from a bare shell in poor condition to a full finished restoration, retaining as much original patina as possible, with all the major rebuild services carried out under one roof at our workshops. Contact us to discuss your Porsche projects and how we can help bring them to completion.
