Tuthill Porsche continues to clock up solid results on track, as circuit cars built here at Wardington accumulate championship silverware across the UK and Europe.

Latest champion to emerge from our workshops is the EB Motorsport 911 RSR. Originally built as an ST, the car started in Top Hat racing and fared well against 1970s sportscars in wet conditions, but needed more power on dry tracks.

When the season was over, owner Mark Bates decided to build a 3.0 RSR engine with slide throttles and all the right parts. We built the new engine, and converted the body to the wider spec, using EB Motorsport parts including lightweight doors and other panels.

The car was then entered in World Sportscar Masters: an FIA-sanctioned historic racing series which travels across Europe, racing circuits including Nurburgring at the Oldtimer GP, Barcelona and Portimao, Dijon in France and Spa Francorchamps for the Summer Classic.

The Light Yellow RSR won its first season in World Sportscars, and has just secured the 2012 title in high style, with six class wins giving Mark the title by 29 points over his nearest rival. Congratulations to Mark on a job well done!
