Great Porsche Adventures in 2018

Best wishes for the new year from Tuthill Porsche: here are some of the Porsche adventures we have in store for 2018

Our latest newsletter was sent out this morning, remembering the Porsche adventures we enjoyed during 2017 and looking forward to some great events already in the diary for 2018. Richard added a short message to the email: it is shared below for those not on our mailing list.

We prepare quarterly email newsletters to keep fans and followers up to date with everything that’s going on here at Wardington. Join the Tuthill Porsche mailing list to receive our occasional updates. View the latest newsletter here.

Richard Tuthill: Great Porsche Adventures in 2018

Happy new year to everyone. As we leave 2017 behind and reflect on the hard work, dedication and good fortune that made it such a terrific year for our team on events such as Modena Cento Ore (main photo), we eagerly anticipate more of the same in 2018.

Things are looking great. We built more bespoke Porsche 911s than ever through 2017 and have a busy order book for 2018. Below Zero Ice Driving has enjoyed an excellent run of bookings so far for its 2018 season, which opens later this month.

Our motorsport department had a mega 2017, supporting clients on events from Milan to Mexico. This year sees us on track all over Europe, with cars in Peter Auto’s new 2.0L Cup series and also in the Classic Endurance Racing series. Having debuted a 934 build at last year’s Copenhagen Historic Grand Prix, we are now working on its sister car. We are also planning a return to the wonderful Modena Cento Ore in June.

Away from the racetrack, several clients are tackling marathon rallies this year, including the ERA’s Road to Saigon, which takes place during February and March. The following month, we are rallying on the other side of the world, supporting Renée Brinkerhoff’s 356 on the Targa Tasmania. We return to Europe with John Coyne’s 997 GT3 for a number of rounds of the FIA R-GT Cup, and more rally entries are under discussion.

Work is progressing on our new building and it will be great to finally have a purpose-built facility to enjoy every day.

Road cars continue to be a great source of fun. As clients for our bespoke builds stretch their imaginations and specify exciting personal touches, we are delighted to help make their dreams a reality. We have also been working on a top-secret project with some prestigious partners, which we hope to unveil later this year. It is all very exciting and adds a huge buzz to the anticipation of what lies ahead over the next twelve months.

On behalf of all here at Tuthill Porsche, I wish each of you every success. We hope that last year was a good one for you and that 2018 continues in the same vein. Many thanks for your support and please feel free to get in touch if there is anything you think we could help with.
