London Marathon Ruth Tuthill Fundraiser

Richard Tuthill hosts a fundraising event in support of Ruth’s run on the 2021 London Marathon for Breast Cancer Now.

On Sunday October 3rd, our very own Ruth Tuthill is running the 2021 London Marathon to raise money for Breast Cancer Now, a research and care charity close to all of our hearts. To support the first lady of the Tuthill household, we’re hosting a charity fundraiser on Friday, October 1st.

This unique invitation-only event is shaping up to be a memorable evening with good food and plenty of fun activities. The gathering is almost sold out, but three pairs of tickets are up for auction in aid of Ruth’s efforts.

Hosted by Richard with help from our good friend, Chris Harris, the craic begins at 3pm, when guests will be welcomed to Wardington with a drink and tour around the workshop. Alongside the many special cars on display, we wil be joined by three-time Le Mans winner and works Aston Martin driver, Darren Turner, now of Base Performance Simulators, who will be bringing his newest simulator for our guests to test their driving skills. For those looking to relive their childhood, we also have the team from Think Scalextric bringing their newest bespoke designed rally track along, which has taken over 1500 hours to build!

At the start of the evening, we will be running a gearbox change competition between two teams of Porsche technicians who will be aiming to beat our Safari Rally record of 12 minutes for a transmission swap. Guests will choose times in a sweepstake, with the closest time winning a prize. Throughout the event there will be more chances to win other fantastic prizes and bid on the silent auction, all raising funds for Breast Cancer Now!

At 4.30 there will be a Q&A session with Richard and Chris Harris, which will be an in-depth discussion around their motoring life and will also feature a special announcement from Richard. To round things off, we will have canapes supplied by The Fodder Shed and guests will be kept well watered by The Wriggly Monkey Brewery.

We look forward to welcoming our guests to Wardington for what is sure to be a fun afternoon, all for a fantastic cause. For more information keep an eye on our Instagram fundraising page, @ruthsrun, which will be regularly updated with details of the amazing auction prizes which will be available on the night. Huge thanks to the team at Collecting Cars, who are supporting Ruth by hosting five auctions for some very special prizes donated by our wonderful and well-connected clients, with all proceeds going to Breast Cancer Now.

If you can’t join us on the day, but would like to support Ruth’s efforts and donate to this wonderful cause, you can do this in several ways:
