Good weekend’s racing at Silverstone with GTSCC

Another trouble-free weekend’s racing at Silverstone in the beautiful Aga Blue SWB 1965 Porsche 911

The superb little Aga Blue 1965 Porsche 911 of Anthony Galliers-Pratt enjoyed another fine weekend of GT and Sports Car Cup racing as part of the HSCC’s International Trophy weekend at Silverstone.

Silverstone was the second round of this year’s GTSCC series. Following a rather damp end to qualifying on Saturday morning, the weather was perfect for Sunday’s 90-minute race. Both drivers in the SWB 911 enjoyed a reliable run with no problems to report.

This super-friendly historic racing series now takes a summer break until the third round at the Castle Combe Autumn Classic in early October. We’ll check the 1965 911 over and give it a service following the weekend’s racing and it will then be ready to go racing in Wiltshire.

The final race of this year’s GTSCC takes place at the Algarve Classic Festival in Portimao, Portugal at the end of October. This is a wonderful weekend of racing, with hundreds of European competitors making the most of the late Autumn sunshine in some wonderful classic race cars.

We really enjoyed the 2016 Algarve Classic Festival and look forward to returning this year. Contact us if you are thinking about racing a vintage Porsche 911 and would like to know more about how to get started.
