Tuthill-built Porsche 911 RSR Rally Car debut San Marino

Successful debut for Tuthill-built Porsche 911 RSR on the San Marino Rally Legends

Paolo Faldini’s terrific Tuthill-built RSR rally car made its debut at the San Marino RallyLegend event last weekend.

We first built the car to our Safari spec, and Paolo did the 2011 Safari Classic with us alongside co-driver, Nicolas Beech. Once the car was flown back from Kenya, we began to convert it to European FIA Tarmac spec, for use as an asphalt rally car.

Painted in rare Porsche Aubergine, the RSR cuts a terrific shape standing still, so no wonder these pictures of it in competition look so good. Reception on the event was hugely positive, and Richard is delighted with the RSR’s successful debut.

“The event was an amazing collection of Group B Historic and WRC: more of a competitive festival-type feel, but a lovely event to start the next stage of this Porsche’s career. Paolo finished 15th on his first time out in really bad weather: a great result, especially when up against so much world-class machinery.

“This widebody RSR rally car was a build we were proud to help achieve. Paolo’s now got a handsome historic rally car with serious speed, so we hope to see plenty more pictures of it driven like this in the future!”
