Currently tracking stage 21 on the rally’s Google Earth software. It is a nail biter: sixth place Grégoire de Mévius has just got moving again after being stopped for ages at what I am being told is a mud hole.
All our drivers bar one have made it through there, including Steve Funk who was just ten minutes behind Gregoire overall. The only exception is Steve Troman: if the GPS is to be believed. Steve looks to be picking his way along a side road just off the stage route.
Second place man Geoff Bell was another car who seemed stuck in the hole for a while. We think Björn’s lead may have increased as a result, but no way are we counting our chickens. This is such an incredible rally: possibly the most amazing thing we have ever done – win or no win.
