Tuthill Porsche Scottish Circuit Racing Success

Racing success for Stan Bernard in his Tuthill Porsche 911 for the SMRC Classic Sports and Saloons championship at Knockhill.

Following on from our recent post on Tuthill circuit cars, news has reached us of success for Stan Bernard in the 911 we recently fettled for the SMRC Classic Sports and Saloons championship, at Knockhill on September 19th.

With full grids for both races, a wet race levelled the field, allowing the cream to rise to the top. Qualifying well, our Stan caught an early jump on the lighter and more powerful V8 Morgans, thanks to the 911’s unmatched traction and his unbeatable experience at Knockhill.

When the finish flag fell, Stan’s 911 was in a cruel P2, a second behind one of the dreaded open-topped British classics. Second to a Morgan by a second: what a way to go on hallowed Scottish ground. Nevertheless, well done Stan!
