Tuthill Porsche 911 Goodwood Sprint Video

Tuthill Porsche Lightweight 911 on a soaking wet Goodwood circuit

Tuthill friend and customer, Dan Squires, recently debuted his lightweight Porsche 911 on the Spring Sprint at the legendary Goodwood Circuit.

Weather for the event was atrocious: very wet with lots of standing water and temperatures well down in single figures. Despite the soaking track and freezing temperatures, Dan took his 911 out and did a few laps in the cold.

As anyone who watched the Chinese Grand Prix will tell you, tyre success is all about temperatures. Local heroes and friends of Tuthill Porsche, Mercedes GP scored a maiden modern-era victory in China, mainly due to their management of tyre and track temperature challenges.

Dan had less luck with the climate for his first venture on track with this much-modified 911 (big engine, lightweight panels and full cage etc), but it is still great to see and hear a classic Porsche lapping the historic Goodwood circuit. Well done Dan!
