The three Tuthill Porsche cars taking part in this year’s Morocco Historic Rally are enjoying a reliable run through the tough north African desert.

The three Tuthill Porsche cars taking part in this year’s Morocco Historic Rally are enjoying a reliable thrash through the tough north African desert.

Three stages made up Day 1 of the 2013 Morocco Historic Rally yesterday, totalling almost an hour’s hard running. The Tuthill Porsches of Paolo Faldini, Jan Hagman and Martin Aguirre all cleared the off-road kilometres with no substantial issues.

Sitting alongside the Queen of Co-Drivers, Fabrizia Pons, Paolo runs highest of the trio in 16th place overall: 4 mins down on leader Eric Clement in a Porsche 911. Morocco is a round of Faldini’s Tycoonaire Cup: an exciting new concept in competitive series racing, encompassing the most epic circuit and rally events racing great historic cars. However hard he might argue, Faldini is a romantic adventurer at heart!

Further down the order, Jan Hagman and Robert Jakobsson are ahead of Martin Aguirre and Luis Mirasol in the in-house Tuthill league, but there is a long way left to go. These occcasional rally men are not out for victory, just to challenge themselves against the terrain in great classic Porsche rally cars. What a great way to unwind if you can afford to do it!

Really difficult to get media from this event. It can’t be down to no Internet as everyone seems to be updating their Facebook pages with no problems. Send me any secret links you find!
