Glenn Janssens and Tom de Geetere delivered a storming performance on the recent Modena Cento Ore to claim a second Cento Ore victory in the Group 4 911 SC rally car.
Running first overall after the opening stage, an off in stage two put the SC down to P21. The fightback was a four-day intermarque battle across circuit racing at Misano, Monza and Imola and hillclimb stages on many famous courses. The Group 4 911 was pitted against all of its period competition, including Alpine 110, BDA Escorts, Alfa Romeo GTA, Lancia Stratos and both 2.8- and 3-litre 911 RSRs.
Glenn and Tom climbed to 13th overall at the end of day one, making up ten more places during day two. After a tough day three including races at Mugello, the lead was regained. The pair held off all comers on the final day and secured their second Cento Ore win.
Further congratulations go to Richard and Claire Cook, who won the class for GT cars from 1962-1965 in their 1964 Ford Cobra, run by Blakeney Motorsport. Many thanks to the Modena Cento Ore team for another unforgettable weekend!
