Tuthill Porsche on Rally Morocco is here

Another International Desert Historic rally for Tuthill Porsche

The flag is about to drop on the Historic Morocco International Rally. Tomorrow morning, twenty drivers will set off on what promises to be a decent test of the assembled historic rally machinery.

Over the next seven days, the rally route will take the competitors on a loop out from Marrakesh, east towards Ouarzazate and Boumalne, before dipping south into Zagora. From there, the rally drops a little further south before branching back towards the Atlantic west coast via Foum Zguid, Tata and Agadir. The final days are the run back to Marrakesh.

1400 liaison kilometres plus 1450 stage kilometres gives a total rally distance of 2800 kilometres, but it should still prove quite a challenge. 1450 kilometres on the rough desert stages can prove the equivalent of 60 or 70 thousand kilometres on normal Tarmac surfaces! So we’ll see how the cars get on. There are certainly more than enough 911s competing to have a little mini-championship of their own over the next seven days.

Check back here for more updates as we receive them.
