There are times in life where you meet exceptional people…. Ken was one of them.

We send our condolences, love and best wishes to his family.

Richard Tuthill.

Ken Block is a man who needs no introduction in the motorsport, the extreme sports, or the skateboard/snowboard clothing world. He pioneered modern methods of capturing cars and bringing content to the internet, that most of us are still trying to get our heads around. He was a visionary with incredible ideas, he had an undeniable talent in a car, and he always brought those around him along for the ride.

It only feels like yesterday that Ken joined us on the East African Safari Classic Rally, in Kenya despite it being almost 1 year ago.

We were fortunate enough to work with Ken in 2022 and were very excited to see him come back to Kenya in 2023 to take a second stab at the Classic Rally, and bring his daughter Lia along for the ride too- There was of course unfinished business on this event for Ken, that will now, sadly remain unfinished.

Those who met him on this event have nothing but the fondest memories of Ken. Many of their conversations centered around Ken’s family and his love for those closest to him; something that has been echoed on every account and tribute online over the past few days.

Our recent Safari Film launched on YouTube just before Christmas and featured Ken quite heavily. We can only hope now that it depicts him as the man we all know and love. We never for a moment thought it would be one of the last videos he would be filmed for.

His impact was felt across so many areas, not least motorsport and rallying, and for Tuthill Porsche to have had the chance to work with Ken has been an honour and a privilege. He became a part of our team, a part of our family, and we will remember him forever.

Richard sums it up succinctly in his quote at the top, as he so often does; Ken was an exceptional person, and our motorsport world just lost a spark and an icon.

Thank you for everything Ken (HHIC)
