Latest Porsche 911 2.0-litre build goes testing at Silverstone

Our latest 1965 Porsche 911 2-litre build goes testing at Silverstone ahead of the 3-hour RAC Historic Tourist Trophy race

Our latest 1965 Porsche 911 2.0-litre race car made its track debut yesterday, on an official Silverstone test day ahead of this weekend’s Royal Automobile Club Historic Tourist Trophy.

The 3-hour race features a large grid of pre-’66 GT and sports cars driven by some of the biggest names in historic motorsport. Our car will race in the pre-’66 under 3-litre class, which is dominated by Lotus Elans, with only one other 911.

Guy Ziser, David Cuff and Scott Redding will drive the Irish Green 2-litre in the 3-hour race at Silverstone. Richard took the wheel for the first test laps on a damp, greasy Silverstone circuit yesterday morning. Sideways was the order of the day and the lap was akin to a decent run at Below Zero Ice Driving.

As the air warmed up and the track began to dry, we also welcomed the new Production Car Land Speed Record holder, Oliver Webb, into the car for a few fast laps and watched a masterclass of balance and control. Stay tuned to our social media for some in-car from that run.
