Porsche 911 Flat Six Twin Spark Engine with Carbs

Another 911 ST recreation comes home

Another of our Tuthill Porsche 911 ST recreations came home today, for its first service and minor detailing ahead of the start of this year’s classic car season (note the right top filter cover off for repainting).

This was an almost money no object build, with the passionate Porsche-loving owner tracking down many of the rare parts and enjoying himself greatly along the way. Our team then put the various components together with maximum attention to detail.

We don’t always have the luxury of lots of paid-for time to tackle every area of a car with the maximum finishing touches. All of our builds are done to an agreed budget, so we have to bear the time available versus the projected build cost very carefully. When we start a build, the agreement is that we will never proceed with unbudgeted works without the owner’s permission.

The last thing any specialist needs is big shocks for customers at payment time, and that is definitely not how we work. The build progress and the cost to date is available to any customer who needs an update.

On this beautiful car, nothing was too much trouble and the owner has ended up with a stunning example of what can be done when all operations are carried out under one roof: as here at Tuthill Porsche.

This dazzling yellow Porsche has also recently been photographed for a feature in Total 911 magazine. Watch those newsagent shelves!
