Stunning Porsche Repaint & Engine Rebuild Completed

This superb 1973 Porsche 911E has just left our workshops following a detailed repaint and engine rebuild

We’ve just completed a detailed repaint and engine rebuild on this beautiful RHD 1973 911E Lux. Initially with us for some bodywork and the bare metal repaint, the need for an engine strip and rebuild became apparent when metal filings were found during an engine oil change.

The car now looks absolutely superb in its new paint: a return to the original colour, having been hastily repainted in Albert Blue at some point in its history. The engine rebuild was also very satisfying, as the engine was fully detailed during assembly, including the addition of what we are told was the very last NOS engine shroud available from Porsche!

Porsche Engine Rebuild Workshop

All of our engine rebuild work is carried out in-house. Tuthill Porsche has three highly experienced engine builders on staff here at Wardington and their work is exceptional: our apprentices are in very good hands!

Our team can handle everything from a simple refresh to address ageing oil seals and leaky piston rings, to a full-house RSR engine running mechanical fuel injection and slide throttles. We also rebuild transmissions from the earliest 901 gearbox to the latest 997 GT3 Cup race gearboxes. We supply and fit standard or custom ratios, or we can also strip and rebuild limited-slip differential (LSD) assemblies and clutch packs.

Email us to discuss all aspects of Porsche engine building, upgrading and mechanical restoration.
