I’ve often overheard the workshops here at Wardington described as “Tuthill Porsche. You know: those rally car people.” The truth is, we do a lot more than build rally cars.
People come to us for servicing, bodywork and rollcage installation. They come to us for engine rebuilds and fuel injection overhaul. They come to us for help when buying or selling Porsche cars, and they also come to us for circuit cars: be it full race cars or track day specials.
The picture that accompanies this particular post is the 911 of Stan Bernard, currently lying second in the highly competitive Scottish Classic Sports and Saloons championship. Stan recently brought the car down to us for a few jobs and it was a pleasure to see this very gutsy 911 back on site.
Another circuit racer is this 2.5 short-stroke engined 911 ST, built by us last year. The driver has been racing for a number of months now, and taken a few class wins along the way. It’s great to see this proper 911 getting such a good workout in this practice session, and also great to see Donington open as a functioning circuit again.
