Last year’s revival of the famous Porsche ice racing event at Zell Am See in Austria was a huge success. The event is back in 2020 and we’re delighted to confirm that Tuthill Porsches will be competing on the ice.
Philip Kadoorie has confirmed his participation in the 2020 GP Ice Race weekend from February 1-2. Philip’s Safari car – affectionately known as ‘Bandit’ – will be on display in slightly bent Safari-finishing condition with the Luftgekühlt group through the night on Friday, then running on the ice across both event days.
Bandit recently arrived back from Africa and received a quick once-over ahead of the GP Ice Race weekend. The car will be fully repaired once it returns from the Porsche family’s home town of Zell Am See, so hopefully it will come back from the ice in one piece!
The 2020 GP Ice Race timetable looks excellent: no doubt Austria will be good fun for all those attending.
