Tuthill Porsche takes third successive win on Modena Cento Ore

Another great effort from Glenn Janssens and Tom de Geetere leads to a win in Modena

The Tuthill Porsche 911 SC of Glenn Janssens and Tom de Geetere has claimed its third successive win on the wonderful Modena Cento Ore in Northern Italy.

The 2020 contest was closer than ever. A blistering opening pace from the Ford Escort of Kevin and Lee Jones saw them holding the lead from Glenn and Tom after day one. Close behind in third was the newly acquired Tuthill-built 911 3.0 RS of our good friend, Philip Kadoorie, partnered by Dan Wells and supported by Dansport.

Day two saw the cars headed to their first racetrack section at the Autodromo di Maggione, with several more hillclimb sections. The day came with mechanical woes for the hard-charging Escort and a rear axle issue put them out of contention.

As the cars began day three and headed for Mugello, Janssens held a lead of two minutes over the Escort RS of Andrew Siddall, followed by Ireland’s Neil McMahon, also in an Escort RS. Philip was now running P6 overall, some six minutes down on the leader after a bit of an off the previous day.

By the end of day three, Kadoorie had clawed back some time and began the final day’s racing in third overall. Janssens was managing the gap to second position and the final results were a third win for Glenn and Tom, P2 for Andrew Siddall and Seb Perez and third overall for Philip and Dan.

Congratulations to Glenn and Tom on another commanding victory. Here’s the official 2020 Modena Cento Ore video to give a small insight into just how epic this event truly is. We love it!
